September 2003 marked the introduction of the Diploma in Management Programme.

The Diploma like its predecessor the Certificate in Management (CIM) offers options in General Management, Marketing & Sales Management, Public Relations, Human Resource Management, Project Management and Management for Administrative Professionals. Each of the six options is a one-year part-time programme covering six modules with the exception of the Diploma in Management for Administrative Professionals which covers five modules. However, it differs from the CIM in that participants will be required to successfully complete a Practium.

TARGET
Individuals and practitioners who wish to enhance existing management skills and techniques to improve current job performance, or wish to obtain exposure in another functional area for future career opportunities.

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
Each course is taught by a highly experienced local instructor who supplements the course manual with case studies and personal experience. This programme is conducted over 3 terms, each 12 weeks in duration. Classes meet for three hours per week for each module.

PRACTIUM - CONCEPT INTEGRATION PROJECT
This is a substantial item of assessment, designed to facilitate learning and application of the key concepts in each of the modules that comprise a specific option.

The Concept Integration Project is designed to measure your learning, and ensure that you have reached an acceptable level of understanding and mastery at this point in the programme.

It is a CORE requirement for the successful completion of the Diploma.

ADMISSION/ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• 4 CXC/O'Levels including Mathematics and English
• Work experience will be accepted via the mature entry route
